Denis PASCAL (pianist) : He studied with Pierre Sancan at the Conservatory where in 1984 he gained unanious first prizes in piano an chamber music, before undertaking further with Jacques Rouvier, Léon Fleischer. Prize-winner in international competitions in Lisbon, Zurich, the Concert Atist Guil in New-York and the Cziffra, Lavoisier an Menuhin Foundations, he finished his studying with György Sebôk in Bloomington, Indiana, where he received the Artist Diploma.He is at present Michel Beroff’s assistant at the Paris Conservatory, and has given solo and chamber music performances in Europe : Helsinski, Palermo, Oveido, Valencia, Alicante, Lisbon, Porto, in the USA : Lincoln Center, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall (New-York), Kennedy Center (Washington) ; in Paris : Théâtre des Champs Elysés, salle Gaveau, Châtelet, Opéra Garnier, Théâtre de la Ville, Théâtre Grévin, and in the following prestigious festivals : Nohan, St Lizier, Saintes, Saint Nazaire, Festival d’Ile de France.As soloist he has appeared with the Lyon and the Bordeaux and Auvergne Orchestras, with New Japan Philarmonic in Yokohama, In San Francisco with Philarmonic Orchestra.Denis Pascal performs regularly on the radio and Television.He is much sought after by partners such as Janos Starker, or late Alain Marion with whom he recorded the complete Beethoven Sonatas ( awarded by a Diapason d’or)He uses his musical qualities and his thirst for discovery of unduly neglected works, to great effect both in the standard repertoire and in new music.So it is that he has recorded the Impressionistic Piano ( Debussy, Images), (the Post-romantic composer) Joseph Marx’s complete piano well received by the critics ( Choc de la Musique),and recently release recording of Franz Liszt’s The 19 Hungarian Rhapsodies awarded by Classica magazine and Choc de la musique and recommanded by the Franz Liszt French association.In Chamber music : Schuman, Brahms Sonatas for piano and viola with Françoise Gnéri ; Joseph Marx’s works for cello and piano and Lieder , Beethoven's 10 Sonatas for flute and piano with Alain Marion awarded by a Diapason d'OR....
