Peter BRUNS, cellist. Born in 1963 in Berlin, after studying at the Berlin Hans Eisler Schule under Peter Vogler, he continued his classes under Tobias Kuhne, Siegfried Palm and Heinrich Schiff. Peter was solo cellist at the Dresdner Staatskapelle from 1988 through 1998, as well as with the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra from 1989 to 1992.
His recording of Bach's 6 suites for solo cello was well received by the international press. Peter plays a Carlo Tortoni cello (Venice, 1730) which once belonged to Pablo Casals.
